3-Day Shopping Trip

Day One

One of the best ways to enjoy the beautiful downtown districts of Marquette County is to set out on an awesome shopping tour. Why not start where the action is in downtown Marquette?! Getz’s Clothiers is a family owned department store for all your outfitting needs. Loaded with all the top brands like Woolrich, Carhart, The North Face, Pendleton, Marmot and so many more, Getz’s is sure to have all the outdoor gear you’ve been looking for.

If jackets, hats, boots, and sweaters aren’t what you’re looking for, head up Washington Street where local boutiques flourish. Get thrifty at Boomerang Retro & Relics! This repurposed vintage goods store has everything from antique end tables to radio clocks and painted china. It’s definitely worth your time to snoop around and pick up some terrific knick knacks! Is chic attire more your style? Check out Chebello, Chickadees and Reblossom. These locally owned retail shops have all the trendiest women’s styles at incredible prices! Downtown Marquette is one exceptional place to shop!

Day Two

In addition to local downtown boutiques, there are plenty of larger department stores and a mall that are sure to satisfy your shopping needs. Kohls, Younkers, Marshalls, Ulta Beauty, and Best Buy are all located on US 41 in Marquette. Conveniently located near plenty of delicious dining options, shopping and tasty eats are a one-stop-shop in this small city!

Day Three

Are you a fan of antiquing? Marquette County’s west end is loaded with some of the best antique stores the state of Michigan has to offer. Just a fifteen minute drive west of Marquette, downtown Negaunee and Ishpeming are lined with beautiful antique stores built into the incredible old architecture of the area. Your first stop should most definitely be Old Bank Building Antiques in downtown Negaunee. Room after room in this historic bank have walls lined with high quality goods of yesteryear. Vases, old toys, quality clothing, and collectibles are meticulously placed to set a vintage shopping ambiance you simply won’t want to miss!

Numerous other antique stores and boutiques line downtown Main Street in Negaunee and Ishpeming, all offering slightly different collectibles. Add to the mix some delicious local eateries such as Tino’s Bar and Jackson’s Pit in Negaunee and Congress Pizza in downtown Ishpeming, and you’re sure to go home with stuffed shopping bags and a full stomach.
