It’s Ladies Night! No, Really, It’s Ladies Night in Marquette on November 13

The annual start of deer hunting season in Marquette County is a highly anticipated time for many a Yooper — even if they can’t stand the thought of bringing down a buck. How could that be, you ask? Well, for roughly half the population of Marquette County, the second Thursday in November brings another beloved event: Downtown Marquette’s Ladies’ Night! From 4 to 8 pm, a bevy of businesses from one end of downtown Marquette to the other will offer discounts, prizes and other sweet incentives for those who brave the cold and dark to show a little love.

This year’s Ladies’ Night, the 18th annual, promises to be even bigger and better than the ones before it. Here’s a sampling of what’s on tap — and remember, for the full lineup of participating businesses, you can click the link above.

 906 Sports Bar and Grill

One of Marquette’s newest restaurants is offering 10% off all food for dine-in customers. It’s also hosting the brand-new Upper Hand Brewery’s official release party, starting at 5 pm. Upper Hand pints will be $3.25 for the duration, or you can opt for a house-made cantaloupe martini for $4.50.

Sweetwater Cafe

The Third Street institution is offering unspecified drink, food and dessert specials, plus a “Knit In” with the ladies behind this award-winning cafe. Bring your knitting gear!

Snap Fitness

The popular fitness studio is offering four cycling classes for $20, plus membership discounts for new sign-ups, prizes, refreshments and more.

Schwalbach Kitchen Specialists

Just across the street from Sweetwater, Schwalbach will provide surprise gifts to the first 100 ladies to enter after 4 pm. If you bring in 12 cans of nonperishable food for its annual canned food drive, you’ll also get a free Corian cutting board. Refreshments and drinks will be served.

Richardson Jewelers

The downtown Marquette institution is offering sterling silver U.P. pendants for $29.95, sterling silver “906” pendants for $39.95, diamond stud earrings starting at $129, sterling silver infinity bracelets at steep discounts and other awesome deals between 4 and 8 only.

Revive Health By Inituiton

This holistic health studio is offering a wide range of perks for ladies night, including discounted personal training and health coaching, a discounted wellness package, and — of course — snacks and refreshments.

Ore Dock Brewing Company

The popular Marquette brewery has a bunch of deals for Ladies Night: $1 off all beers and growler fills, free Keweenaw Coffee Works coffee tastings, a Queen City calendar sale, music from the Jimmy Almen Jazz Duo, Dia de los Tacos (if you wear an Ore Dock or Dia de los Tacos shirt, you’ll get for 2 for $5 tacos), a fun raffle, and Steinhaus pretzels with mustard for $3.

See You Out There?

We could go on, but you get the idea. Again, check the above link for a full list of participating businesses. And remember, you don’t have to be a full-time resident of Marquette County to enjoy Ladies’ Night. Whether you’re just in town for the week or are a lifelong Yooper, we hope to see you out and about this Thursday!
